Véronique Dalmasso
Educator [Via Artis President]
Véronique teaches at the University of Picardie and the University of Paris-Est Créteil – INSPÉ. She also works as a specialist in Literature and Art History in the continuing education sector, such as for the department of audience development and artistic and cultural education of the Louvre Museum where from 2004 to 2020, she was in charge of writing training aid booklets and developing content for the “Louvre Education” program and designing and leading training courses in Art History for primary and secondary teachers and for social workers nurturing a collaborative exchange with the trainees to develop new educational tracks and new modes of transmission to their specific publics. She has also curated several exhibitions in partnership with the Musée de Picardie, the Frac de Picardie and the Frances de Senlis Foundation.
Pietro Antonelli
Journalist and writer [Via Artis Advisory Board Member]
Pietro is a journalist, writer and historian with a long career in communication and research. He founded and directed several magazines and newspapers in Italy (from 1986 to 2014) and has had a prominent role in the cultural activity of his region. After the degree in Political Sciences, he worked at the Senat of the Italian Republic as chief press officer for senator Calvi (Antimafia Commission from 1987 to 1993). He also founded a cooperative, acting as a publishing house, Ali di Pan, through which he promoted storytelling as an approach to unlock hidden stories and acted as a mentor for two generations of journalists. His most recent book ‘Le sei anime di un fascismo ancora vivo’ won the prestigious national award ‘Citta’ di Castello’ as the best original research for his distinctive approach. website: pietroantonelli.blog
Antonia Liguori
Digital Storytelling expert [Via Artis Advisory Board Member]
Over the past 20 years, Antonia has had the privilege to experience a very diverse and exciting career pathway, both in the heritage sector in Italy and in academia in the UK, where she works at Teesside University as Professor of Participatory Storytelling and Public Policy. Her academic background is in History and Computer Science and, since 2008, she has been involved in a variety of international research projects to develop tools and methods to foster innovation in education; to explore the role of storytelling in today’s digital world; to investigate and trial ways of using digital storytelling as a participatory methodology for inter-disciplinary research. She has a growing international reputation and a record of excellence in research and innovation. Over the past five years, she has been involved in over 20 projects of various sizes, ranging from a few thousand euros to over a million in value, funded by UKRI and the European Commission. Fred Dalmasso
Theatre Director [Via Artis Advisory Board Member]
Fred is a multidisciplinary researcher, playwright and arts practitioner. He is the artistic director of collect-ifs, a performer/practitioner/writer collective specialising in the staging of philosophical ideas in such a way as to make them accessible to a wide audience. He is one of the founding members and curators of the Re-imagining Citizenship project that has been exhibited internationally and produced an online platform and an activity book to engage civic communities in the UK and in France. He is an active member of the Storytelling Academy and has been involved in some of its EU-funded projects: E-SHAHRAZAD (Innovative Approaches in Adult Education: Digital Storytelling in Intergenerational Learning), MARS (Methodological Approaches for Real Social Effects in Adult Education) and ART-CONNECTION (Enhancing the 8th European Key Competence – cultural sensitivity and expression – to develop individual and collective skills at the service of social cohesion).
